Here are some home treatments you can try.
- As soon as you notice the dry skin start drinking more water to hydrate your skin.
- Make sure that you are using a moisturizing cream on your face at least twice a day. You should do it before you go to bed and when you get up in the morning.
- Make sure that you do not pull or scratch the area around your eyes. It could lead to itching, a burning sensation, or redness.
- Make sure that you get enough rest and sleep.
- Get plenty of exercise
- If you have dry skin around your eyes make sure that you avoid wearing makeup in that area for several days. You can use instead skin creams with emollients, natural oils, minerals, antioxidants, and vitamins.
- At night before you go to bed make sure that you are washing all your makeup off.
- When you go out in the sun wear a sunglasses and a heat. Apply sunscreen.
- Avoid any harsh weather conditions such as extreme cold or heat.
- Avoid drinking excess alcohol and cigarette smoke.
- Make sure that you have proper nutrition for your skin. Make sure that you eat plenty of foods that are rich in minerals and vitamins. Make sure that you are getting plenty of zinc, compounds like bioflavonoids, lutein, omega-2 fatty acids, and carotenoids. A vitamin that is good for dry skin is vitamin E.
